Time to head over to Eastern Europe, to the former Czechoslovakia. Some of my family history is connected to Czechoslovakia, so it seemed like a good idea to have at least one stamp/cover from the country in my collection.
The stamp was issued by the Czechoslovakian Post in 1990; it has a value of 3 Czechoslovak koruna. The first day of issue for the stamp was September 29, 1990.
The stamp features a Celtic silver coin (Biatec) minted by the Boii in Bratislava during the first century BC. The coin features right-facing conjoined portraits. The image caption text on the stamp translates to (in English): "Celtic Coin Type Biatec Bratislava".
