I started looking at the coins I get in change recently and found this penny. I was excited to find it but not sure what you would call the error if that is what it is.
Is this an error coin? If so, how did this happen?

To CCF! It's a Vise Job. It's PMD, not an error. Someone took another cent and smashed it with a hammer, leaving a reversed impression of the letters on the rim. https://www.error-ref.com/squeeze-j...-garage-job/

Ok,
Another question there is a raised line that goes from the left side of lincoln's head down through to the lower edge.
Is that a die crack.

That's a Linear Plating Bubble, not a Die Crack.
