Kind of mind bending if you ask me. Even regardless of the numismatic angle. Leo XIV is an American citizen. Who rules a nation. Which issues coins with an image of its sovereign. As I mentioned in the other topic, he is not just an American Pope, he is a a Chicago Pope! He was raised in Dolton, just a few miles from where I was born. I have to wonder if any of my extended family has ever rubbed elbows with him in the past.
