Grade opinions please. This is from my wife's collection that I recently reviewed. Some nice stuff there. I should have some more to post in time. The early morning light may not be the best for shadows, but good for detail. I see very little if any wear on this one. Is it a short waterline? Thanks folks.

I duffed the waterline pic and have no more today.

No sweat Mike, that's why I'm here. The hair looks so untouched, care to elaborate. Makes no difference to us, just curious. I'm calling weak strike with HB not showing well.

I'll be a little more generous and say AU50 due to the
slight wear on the eyebrow and the hair above the ear.
Not sure if it has had a previous cleaning or not.

When you say the hair is untouched, not sure what you are comparing it to.
Don't forget in 1948 the mint retouched the Kings portrait and there was
more detail in the hair than previous years.

I'm at XF 40/45. I see wear on the monarch and characters/design on the Rev. With a little gunk/grimes in the nooks and crannies, I'd say cleaned at some time in the past, not recent. Too many nicks/dings on the Obv for AU.
