I have a few coins from The Central American Republic. Don't know if anyone here is interested but will include a few images just in case.

1826 1/4 real or Quartilla

I have identified three die pairs of this date which I call 1-A, 2-A and 3-B

I tried combining the above images to save space but it wouldn't upload. I will work on it later.

Next is the scarce 1845 Quarter Real. This coin shows a die break in the center of the obverse.

This last image shows the luster.

G'day & thankyou,
I'd never heard of the "Central American Republic", but now I am better-informed: the twinned benefits of coin-collecting, and of CCF-membership !
For those like I was (upto 3 minutes ago), see:

The coins of the Central American Republic are generally scarce to just plain rare. Krause's World coins has a listing of them but there is little other information. There were some little monographs in the mid 1960s that covered coins of Honduras and Guatemala and Central America but there is nothing else available. The prices in Krause should be used as a vague guideline at best and in some cases are just completely off the mark as it were.

If there is sufficient interest here I will post more information and images.

A high grade 1824 One Real. The first image to show luster. I have identified 4 die pairs for this date.

Neat thread - thanks for sharing. Without a doubt, I think the designs on 19th century CAR coinage are the most beautiful in Latin America. The 1 real you posted has a nice look to it.
