Louis-Philippe, born on 6 October 1773 in Paris, was the eldest son of Louis Philippe II, Duke of Orleans (known as Philippe egalite), and Louise Marie Adelaïde de Bourbon.
He was known as the "Citizen King", the last king to rule France, from 1830 to 1848.
Coins from the time of Louis-Philippe I were minted at various locations in France, including Paris, Rouen, Lille and Marseille.
Each mint produced coins with slight variations, and some coins have unique features, such as double strikes or specific engraving marks, which can significantly increase their value.
