Today was really tough. We got out at 7:30 hoping to beat the heat.
Went to a school I found on Google earth. Slap bang in the middle of a sub division. normally these are less searched than ones visible from main roads.
It was 82 when we started digging and two hours latter it was 89.
Very little was on or near the surface. so I have to assume its been cleaned out fairly recently. Thanks to my 9x12 coil I get solid hits at 6 and 8 inches. That's where most of this came from. The coins are clean because they have just spent half an hour in a tumbler. it was the only way I could separate the cents and dimes. I feel like a wet rag and my backs killing me. Will this stop me going out tomorrow and doing it all over again... Hell no!

Nice work Richard. 6 to 8 inches down will make for a tough day. I guess it wasn't that cleaned out after all. Summer is creeping in. Going to be a warm one here. Going to try and get out at about 5:30 tomorrow nice and early.
Lawn work took care of my day today.
