This was the best day I've ever had detecting so far. Not so good on coins but found neat stuff. The stuff in the picture is 4 metal buttons, 2 lead toys, 3 pocket knives(two boy scout ones), iron horse, cross, hammer head, belt buckel, 5 wheat pennies(1927 key find), 1943P nickel, lead bullet, and strangley a pistol.

There has been live (or at least unfired) ammunition finds but wow a pistol?

And where do you go hunting? It seems everything steel you find is caked in rust.

Neat finds indeed. Any idea what was at that site before the house or has that house been there all the time? Any chance that is a real gun? That is just crazy.
