No more selling out in 3 weeks but will this make them too common to increase in value by a good amount?

'Mint to Demand' is never a good thing for a Collector who wants scarcity in his collection, resulting in increased 'desire' from other Collectors. Part of the pleasure of Coin Collecting is the hunt for the elusive Coin that fills a gap, would anybody really find the Hobby interesting if ALL Coins were as common as nuts and bolts in a Hardware Store?

Keep mintages low, and keep Collectors interested!

I agree, if I wanted a common coin I'd collect circulated coins in circulated condition. It's kind of put me off mintmark coins now.

2 schools of thought...mint to demand for circ style coins keeps them affordable for kids who at the moment are grasping the hobby....no kids collecting the future could be a bleak as stamp collecting.

2nd thought is the thrill of chasing a low mintage coin.

I seldom see any mint on demand coins that have had high mintages and most of them are very strong on the secondary market. A huge number of collectors WILL NOT order anything from the mint as they look at it as buying from the government. Also there is a difference between mint on demand with no deadline and mint on demand prior to a deadline.

To me the mint has become useless at time! If you dont order 500 coins a month from them they make you wait to long. But they have what you want? Every ones order should count!!! Maybe I am wrong but the ones that order 500,or more get more care than us collectors that order for our self and family member.
What happen to the NEW RULE 10 COINS OR SETS PER HOUSEHOLD sure that realy happened.
