I recently submitted 4 coins to be graded. One being a 2021 Silver Eagle Type 2 that I had won free ungraded. I obviously didn't know what mint it came from so I put West point since I assumed it was struck there. I was checking my status and it had changed to "Scheduled to be graded". Under the tab it said 2021 S Type 2. How does NGC know where it came from? What distinguishable marks would it have?

The S$1 means Silver One Dollar.

The Gold Eagles say G$x.

I feel like a dummy now haha. But same question still applies. Will they be able to tell which mint?

I believe that the only way they can tell which branch mint is if the sealed monster box was submitted—said box supposedly has the source mint indicated on the outside. All coins from that submission with have a (P), (S), or (W) on the slab label.

Good question. You might want to call NGC and ask!
