I have found only a few half dollars with stickers while CRH. Today I purchased two boxes of Loomis-rolled half dollars from my favorite bank. I noticed the reverse side of a proof "ender" on one roll. But I didn't pay any attention to enders with stickers on two more rolls in the same box.

The proof coin was a 1970-S (the third one that I've found). When I opened the first roll with a sticker ender, I was surprised that coin had the distinctive edge of a 40% silver half dollar. Examining it closely, I saw that it was an uncirculated 1965 coin, and that the sticker on the reverse commemorated the Gemini 5 mission launched that year! The other sticker ender commemorated the Apollo 8 mission on the reverse of a 1968 half dollar -- and that roll contained three more 40% silver half dollars! I found six 40% silver coins commemorating space missions (including two Apollo 8 coins) in that box -- plus an uncirculated 1968 half dollar with no sticker (as well as the 1970-S proof coin).

Because the coins are uncirculated, I assume the stickers were added soon after the completion of each space mission. It's possible that similar stickers commemorate the earlier Mercury missions (which I expect would be found on Benjamin Franklin half dollars), and all other Gemini and Apollo missions (with late ones found on clad half dollars).

Have other CRHs found these interesting specimens?

I've seen this patch before:

But never saw stickers on or for coins.

Fascinating find, NorthShoreMA - those are really cool! I don't recall seeing any such thing back in the day, but I was only 3 at the time of Gemini 5. Hopefully one of the old-timers here (well, at least older than me) recognizes the stickers and can shed light on them.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Interesting finds!

For what it is worth, I would keep them intact.

Great finds, North. I'm also located on the north shore of Boston and two weeks ago found 3 of these. Apollo and Gemini. We must have got part of the same dump.

J the Apostate: Welcome aboard! I think the North Shore of Massachusetts is one of the best places to search for silver coins because elderly residents are such a large fraction of the population here, and some of their heirs don't appreciate the value of the coin collections that they inherit. Good luck with your CRH.

Thanks, Northshore! I'm only three dozen boxes of halves in, but I have around a 40% hit rate for silver so far. On a skunk streak right now though & 🤷 #127995;#8205;#9794;#65039;
