2007-P Idaho Collar Crack / Grease Strike

Collar crack at 12:00, grease strikes in the field of the obverse and over the falcon's throat and in the field of the reverse. I could use some help with the last pic though, I'm not positive what's going on. Part of the strike through, perhaps with a small die chip? Thanks in advance! Report this Post to the Staff

Marv65 Bedrock of the Community United States 10497 Posts	Posted 08/05/2025 01:01 am Last picture all I see is some damage under the State with metal movement, just like what goes over the S and into the U under the 07 of the date. And whatever is wrong with the reed you'er showing is pretty microscopic to even be known as a minting defect. The "Grease strike" on the birds throat seems to be part of the design... MintedNotPrinted Pillar of the Community United States 1183 Posts	Posted 08/05/2025 1:12 pm I need a better camera... Agreed completely on the microscopic size on the edge, just glad to find one. You can see a small continuation onto the rim of the obverse, but barely! The strike through the falcon runs off the right side into the field in that darker patch in the picture, but after downsizing the picture it is admittedly very difficult to tell. Similar to the dark patches either side of the bust on the obverse. The metal movement below the state had me thrown, didn't appear scraped but I can see it now. If anyone's interested I'll try for a better shot. Not anything crazy for sure, I know! Thanks for the replies! Report this Post to the Staff
