Shatteredsky New Member United States 10 Posts	Posted 08/19/2025 9:07 pm Hello CC, I realize this may be a shot in the dark, but I'm hoping maybe someone out there will recognize and be able to identify something on it. So.... thank you in advance. I picked this up 30 years ago at an estate sale. It was listed as a "Roman coin," dated 200 -800 AD. I think it may be older, but just based on the wear and the off-center strike. On the obverse, the head seems smaller and rounder than other Roman portraits. I think I see an "E" at the 10 pm position and a "C" to the left of it. Sorry, I tried different angles and lighting. On the reverse, I can see what I think is either an "A" or a "W". The reverse is completely flat. It's bronze or copper and weighs 2.97 grams Report this Post to the Staff

Tanman2001 Pillar of the Community United States 4395 Posts	Posted 08/19/2025 10:53 pm Does appear to Roman. The provided dates seem completely arbitrary, this is likely 2nd-3rd Century AD based on style. You'd have to preform miracles to fully ID it in this condition. Report this Post to the Staff
