I'm not sure where to put this, so, I'll place it here.

What do you think of the Vaultbox series and related items? Also, did the new 10 point scale, dubbed NGCX, come about because of Vaultbox?

I made a comment recently that it feels like the "Chef's Special" of coins. Stuff in the walk-in about to expire, so push it out.

I read that the NGCx grading came about to make coin collecting more appealling to card and comic collectors already familiar with the 10 point scale.

No, NGC rolled it out to attempt to attract the card collectors.

VaultBox (and a couple of high volume bullion sellers) has been one of the few customers for it. I was going to do a grading set, but the number of non-VaultBox coins is so small as to be impossible.
