For some reason I think I have heard this doubling called die sizing. Have no idea if this is correct and if so what it means. Any help?

I have not heard of "die sizing" before, I bet the coin posted is from the sixties, I thought it was master die doubling, very common on those years. But I'm no pro.

I've never heard of the term "die sizing". Your specimen appears to show Machine Doubling.

Your specimen appears to show Machine Doubling.

And some very prominent die polishing marks.
