mrwhatisit Pillar of the Community United States 2953 Posts	Posted 09/10/2025 6:16 pm I may have overlooked this coin in my album that had that mint state red 1955 poor man's doubled die cent. I at first believed this was a simple scratch, but when I looked closer, it came to me that this looked more consistent with a struck thru some small wire as it was plenty curved and not consistent with a normal scratch. It is far more possible that it was a small wire that was adhered to the reverse die somehow and struck thru into the coin. Quote: Maybe struck thru a hair Could very well be...
