This was a cool under-melt find , large retained interior die break (edit: or Lamination issue?) across the eagle on the reverse:

Interesting. Is it a die break or a planchet lamination?

Brandmeister, I suppose I'm honestly not positive either way.

There's a hairline that runs to the U in Pluribus if that helps at all. I can try get a shot, it was fighting me with that dark toning.

The die has heavy deterioration on the legend as well.

I agree as well about it being a lamination, something about its size/height/location just threw me off.
