Hey all,
Just found this shinny 2012 DDO. Looks like it has been cleaned judging by the swirls on the reverse. But still one to add to the folder

Looks like MD or DDO to me, so not a variety or error, and no real added value. Keep it as an oddity.

I could be wrong, but it looks like strong Machine Doubling.

And you are wrong. That is a Doubled Die. 2012 Loonies are known for DD's on the obverse.
E&V, Machine Doubling reduces the size of the letters, A Doubled Die such as in this case
increases the size of the letters. Just look at the dots and see how the size has increased,
not been reduced. Just something to remember.

Thank you, JimmyD. I'll make sure to remember that. I'm usually good at telling the differences, but this one tricked me. After looking at the dots, I agree that it's a DDO. Nice find, Meandice.
