Looks "shiny" - plated? circulation has worn some of it off on the high points.

A silver 2002 quarter would weigh 6.35 g, while a clad 2002 quarter would weigh 5.67 g. This indicates that your quarter is plated.

Yes, my first thought would be plated. Initially, when these quarters were released, some were plated to boost the desirability of these.

That whole series was plated aftermarket in silver and some in gold
and sold as souvenirs. I have seen on ebay cards with numerous states
plated in silver. Plating adds. no numismatic value to the quarter.
