Nice looking pair! .. Lovely notes, walk2dwater!... Somehow I've overlooked this topic. Great notes being posted, everyone!

-Thanks guys! Welcome to the thread @Hokiefan!
First example from 1958 is an inexpensive/very common "destination note" from Mexico, P-59d 1 Peso:

The 2nd note is equally as common but I have not yet been to this country. It is P-30 a £1 (Israeli pound) from Israel

The front clearly shows a fisherman. The back shows a
Mosaic from the floor of an ancient synagogue at lssafiya on Mt. Carmel according to Numista:

Nice notes guys!

For 1957 I've got this P-371 £5 from England:
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
The front features "helmeted head of Britannia at left, St. George and Dragon at lower centre." The back shows "lion standing left, with key and chain" & was one of main reasons I wanted this note.

My next entry for this year, is this P-19b 10 Shillings from Bermuda

For 1957, a Hong Kong one dollar, P-324A. This design was printed from 1952 through 1959.
This note is among a group of notes from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Philippines I found a few years ago in one of Mom's scrap books. Dad had kept those notes during a tour of duty in southeast Asia aboard the minesweeper USS Lucid in the late 1950's.

Looks like I've got a few silver certificates dated 1957, including this well-circulated star note:

Thanks guys!
And nice examples from 1957!
Today, 1956, I have to turn it down a notch as I only have 2 examples, one of which I have no photo. That is this pretty tough 5 Soles (P-76) from Peru. Its not "tough" like my Bermuda 10 Bob nor my Britannia £5 (posted yesterday) but only since a mere 10M run is NOT completely common:
https://en.numista.com/202413

The 2nd note I have posted here 3 years ago (in 2023). From Cuba, this little P-87a ONE PESO packs a punch for interesting symbols within its design:
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
How-Far-Back-Can-We-Go?---With-Banknotes!-Third-Edition
It features Civic (or "Revolution Square") & I have seen very few examples in true UNC. My example has toning & foxing which is especially visible on the reverse.
