1891 Small Or Large Date? - Coin Community Forum

Recently purchased this coin in a large cent book and it was placed in the 1891 Small Date slot... but I have my suspicions.. Is he a small or large date? Also, any tips to safely remove all the gunk? FYI the green in the pictures isn't that heavy - when I compressed the pictures at added all of the green for some reason. Report this Post to the Staff

JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21584 Posts	Posted 01/02/2026 5:59 pm to the CCF That is the Large Leaves Large Date variety. The 9 gives it away.
