Just over 1 gram and measures 20 mm.

Obverse: Diademed bust left. +EDELRED REX AGLO
Reverse: Short cross. +LEOFRED MON LVND

So it's Aethelred II Penny, 987-1016. Last small cross type, London D dies, Leofred, (Leofred mon lvn).
Is there any way to pin a date to this type of coinage at all?

I don't have any reference books on this place/era, but I see knowledgeable sellers placing this type at the end of the reign, 1009-1017.

That's interesting, thank you again. Quite happy to label it up now. I did actually put this on ebay a while back but decided to keep it as it's the only coin of this type that I have.
