Quote: It will be interesting to see how the across-the-board price increases for the Mint's precious metal offerings impact sales/collector support . Some of the NCLT sets and coin prices have caused me to hold up and catch my breath. At the moment, $469.95 CAD for the "Fine Silver Proof Set - 100th Anniversary of The Royal Canadian Legion (2026)". In particular when I am mainly interested in the silver dollar (with selective Rose Gold). Not to mention $164.95 CAD for "100th Anniversary of The Royal Canadian Legion - Fine Silver Proof Dollar (2026)" Perhaps like some others, I should have stopped my SD collection with the 2023 Queen Elizabeth II coins and sets. .

Those prices certainly have a sting to them.

May have to wait for the secondary market or end my Canadian silver dollar collection.

At those prices I can't afford them.

IMO, until the spot price of silver retreats quite a bit, the secondary market is also going to see strong coin prices - unlike a few years ago!

*** Just a heads up for those wanting the Fine Silver Proof Dollar and/or the Fine Silver Proof Set: If you order through the Post Office web site:Fine Silver Proof Dollar - 100Th Anniversary of The Royal Canadian Legion: $139.95 at the Post Office vs. at the RCM $164.95 Fine Silver Proof Set - 100Th Anniversary of The Royal Canadian Legion: $369.95 at the Post Office vs. 469.95 at the RCMSeemed too good to be true, but I ordered one of each for a total of $509.90. My order went through "Expected delivery in 2-7 business days". If ordered through the RCM it would be $634.90 PS: I just received an email Online store order confirmation from the Post Office.

@Sharks: Congrats on finding a "deal" and keeping your collection growing!
I can remember a time (not too long ago!) when the pair you reference could be purchased for half the 2026 price - talk about inflation! It's getting tough to be a modern coin collector!

If I place an order with the RCM will I be charged a tariff to receive the package in the US?

No. I recently purchased from the RCM the Silver proof set plus another item and did not have to pay any tariff. Package came via Fedex. Late last year when I made a similar purchase from the RCM it came tariff-free and with some documentation stating that numismatic items were not subject to the tariff and were covered by the USMCA agreement. The package I received recently did not have that documentation but still came without any tariff. I find it interesting that the RCM can send packages to the US tariff-free but coin dealers can't (or may be reluctant to do so). However, I have placed orders with some Canadian coin dealers who will just mail the coin in a small regular envelope and no tariff. I just wish this tariff policy goes away soon and we go back to the way things use to be. One can only hope.
