1983 Lincoln Cent - Motto Missing Letter

Marv65 Bedrock of the Community United States 10484 Posts	Posted 01/17/2026 12:11 am Very common area for the lettering to be weak. The metal is being drawn into the hammer (top) die to form Lincoln's bust and sometimes not leaving enough metal for the anvil (bottom) die to strike up all of the reverse letters completely in that area.
