It's from Thailand, possibly a 50 Satang from 1957.

You're quite welcome, RWC. Dearborn, it wasn't too hard - Thailand coins are easy to recognize once you've become familiar with them. And I had this beater that I had never posted because of the obverse scratches. Same year, different denomination.
