I found this while going through Canadian Cents that I have. I believe this is a genuine Rim Clip. I don't think it's PMD. The rim looks fine too.

Since its present only on the reverse face, it would appear to be post-strike damage.

Just for your information, that is the NSF variety, the
more common of the two varieties. With that damage
though, it's not worth much more than the 3.24g of copper.
