I just bought a few Lincolns out of the 38 I bought. 9 are supposedly crackouts. On the 2x2 are written the heritage sale # lot # TPG. and grade. for exaMPLE 1944 PCGS MS66 RED. HERITAGE LOT # 11230 so I look it up on the heritage site. and I get this 1944 http://coins.heritageauctions.com/c...src=pr#PHOTO

Now, I kmow that anyone can write anything they want on the 2x2 as there is no way to determine if it is the same coin. But would someone actually go thru the trouble of finding a comparable coin on heritage and just to make it look better. ? and have a comparable coin to boot ?
by the way I did not pay alot for these at all. They are very nice coins. Unfortunatley I cant afford to send them back in. I am copying the info that was on the 2x2 onto the whitman folder. so maybe that can be done at a later date.

Now I just looked up this 1942d http://coins.heritageauctions.com/c...src=pr#Photo

the coin I have has the same tiny hit on the chin and the same small mark above liberty. I am certain this is the same one. I bought a;; 38 coins including the 10 crackouts for $20.00 !!!

if it looks like it has the same marks then it is probably the same coin, but people can go theer and search for a coin like it and put that information on the 2x2 but if it has the same marks I doubt that is what happened

Hi Grovey. It sounds like you did pretty well no matter what. Besides, it seems like an awful lot of effort on the sellers part to mis-represent the coins that way. Mike
