I need to be educated, please. I have a few of these and don't know what it is called. Are they even worth keeping? It goes around the entire perimeter of the coin.

to the CCF, Fxenterprise1!
This is damage caused by a Coin Wrapping Machine, AKA Ring of Death. Unfortunately, it's just damage, so your coin (and others like it) are spenders.

It can't be the Ring of Death, it is behind the raised letters. The Ring of Death would have damaged the letters.

It absolutely is. Those letters are incused on the coin, not raised, so the scratch goes right over top of them. We see them all the time.
