Ok so I've been metal detecting for a about a month now and I'm basically addicted to it. I recently asked permission to go to the oldest standing school in my town which dates back to 1833. Apparently the school has been everything from a clambake club to a W.P.A. Center back in the 40's. There's only a small piece of land where the school stands but I just had to try it out. I have a new Fisher f-5 and it seems to being doing the job just fine. Although, I came across this odd looking pin or tab or whatever it is. On the front is a blue dove and on the back reads "Ward's Tip-Top Bread". Now I don't know about you but my bread usually comes in plastic bags. Could someone help me with this find? I tried researching the company but found no luck just to see if the company was still up and running or not. Thanks a bunch.

Looks like a vintage advertising watch fob to me. Check ebay for watch fobs to get a price idea...

That's a pretty cool find. I would agree with chequer. Looks like a watch fob. I did a quick search and saw some fobs from that company dated in the 40's. Although they didn't look like that one.
