UNC details. Questionable obverse. Or images show no luster and this is 65

Could just be the pictures making it look like it has no luster. I'm thinking MS-65. The coin is pretty clean from hits.

its impossible to determine luster due to the photos. this component is going to be the key to the grade. I also have concerns about the obv

Thank you for the feedback.
If it was cleaned it wasn't by me.
Axial lighting is a pain with crappy lights.

lighting and angles can alter what we see. we can only assess a coin based on what we see. some of the folks on this forum have been grading by photo for years so sometimes their eyes are more attuned to underlying issues.

my suggestion is if you are familiar with luster...not shiny, then you need to determine if all the luster is there. to these eyes the obv fields are exhibiting blemishes in the fields that I noted here. also you see halo's around the stars, another indication.

the coin would not have been cleaned with anything abrasive however when a chemical dip is administered, if its overdone, will remove the original skin and result in a dull look to the coin.
