JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21589 Posts	Posted 03/25/2026 10:28 am Not a wrong planchet, the Lincoln Cent is the only US coin that used a copper plated zinc planchet. Your cent is suffering from a bad case of zinc rot that will keep getting worse. Get rid of it now. Report this Post to the Staff
