First off, , glad you can join us!

You have a true error there called a struck thru grease issue, where grease got in between the coin being struck and the dies. Date looks a 1996 Philadelphia mint. Your middle three pictures, although good, we here don't really like pictures of screens because of pixelations throwing off what may need to be seen as the pictures get blurred. And it is very good your measurements pictures so we can get the best picture possible to best help you.

It is a great example of a struck through filled die/ through grease.
You don't need to use the monitors images you already are able to take good pictured.

Well it is a pretty nice " Greaser" but you also don't want to squeeze metal caliper jaws onto a coins surface just in case it may leave marks in the metal.

to CCF.

That is a solid Grease Filled Die.

Now - please do NOT post any screen shots of your scope - we will lock up topics if you do

The first line on the image upload dialog box clearly states no screen shots.

Do the dies have some sort of protective tape or film on them that the mint employee has to remove before installing the die?

In the future, please do not post photos of scope screens. Use the memory card or a USB cable to transfer images.

I would imagine they have something over them to prevent any problems before installation but that has nothing to do with a " Greaser - Struck Through Grease" error.
