Obverse looks like Machine Doubling. Not sure about the stars.

I believe it to be MD. Devices are shaved off, smaller.

You're just seeing MD on most of your pictures -
This seems a bit different as it is not flat/shelf like doubling....

BUT, even if that is a Doubled Die it's not worth any kind of premium - if it needs that much magnification to actually see it then it is a very minor variety.

Is any other lettering or design thicker than normal? It could be a DDR. Looks much thicker than normal.

The only thing that I see that looks thicker is the FG initials, and then only the bottom half - which I think is strange.

If you look closely at the FG it looks like some kind of circulation flattening. There is a scratch in the letters............
