Need Help Identifying A Possible 1776 Continental Currency Coin

My grandpa recently gave me a slew of coins from his collection, since he has no more need for them. The coin that appears to be a 1776 Continental Currency coin struck my fancy, because if it's a genuine coin that was designed by Ben Franklin himself, that'd be so cool to have! It's near impossible to read the fine text, and I noticed some faint lines on the edge, but I wanted to get a second or third opinion from some coin collecting veterans, just in case.
