Just got cheap cause it looks like its damaged but I'm pretty sure its a clipped planchet but it looks to me that there is a lot going on with this besides the main clip. Looks like the start of.a secondary clip, the top arrow seems almost none existent. In the right light I'm almost positive insee a very faint reverse of the cut off date next to the "c", the holes that are now filled with grime seem to be to clean around them to be corrosion and there are some perfect circles that seem more like popped bubbles than corrosion, and the parts of the lower eagle seem way to close to the 5C. I may be grasping at straws here but I dont think so.

Your coin is so worn I don't know if you can be exactly sure if it's a clip or not.

to the CCF

I can't tell if that is a clip or man made damage.

I get it but the way it hugs the other Half Dime tells me otherwise along with strong Blakesly effect which is why the outside of the coin looks so worn bu5 you can still see the face and LIBERTY clearly and the shield good

I get what you guys are saying but ifnitnwas coincidentally damaged the perfect curve of a Half Dime with out bending the coin seems unlikely to me. As for the being too worn vs blakesly the coin wouldn't be so good at the highest points in the middle being able to see liberty perfectly and the eagle shield.

How about a picture of the edge of the area in question?

I'm thinking PMD in my opinion. I'm also not seeing the Blakesley Effect either. I think it's a man made Clip.

The reverse at from the leaves to the 5c at the bottom looks pretty clear blakesly to me and the curve matching the other Half Dime but I appreciate everyone's input

I don't see any Blakesly Effect either as there is no weakness in the reeds denticles.

You guys are probably right the thing that gets me though is what are the odds that one coin would be just coincidentally damaged to almost perfectly follow the curve of another coin of the same denomination without warping the coin. Its not like its a thick coin to begin with like a half dollar that would take a ton more force to bend it.
