Sorry about topic duplication, but not everyone looks at the calendar, and this event is only 2 days away.

https://louisianastatemuseum.org/ne...ting-nations
Fri, May 08, 2026
4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Join us for a free event filled with coins, history and southern hospitality with the 41st director of the United States Mint and native Louisianan Paul Hollis as he shares how the Mint is celebrating the Nation's 250th anniversary with special coins and medals. Following, enjoy time to mingle with VIPs, Mint and New Orleans Jazz Museum staff, and representatives from Louisiana America 250 Commission.

Additional highlights include:

• Purchase 2026 products from the Mint's pop-up retail space to include the American Buffalo 2026 One Ounce Gold Proof Coin (26EL)
• Pick up free educational and informational resources from the Mint and Louisiana America 250.
• Bring $1 and $5 notes (bills) to get the latest 2026 circulating coins from our coin machine.
• Cash bar stocked with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages (proceeds benefit the New Orleans Jazz Museum).
• View the museum's first floor exhibit from the Old New Orleans Mint. View a Morgan & Orr coin press, a Troemner bullion scale, and displays of coins minted on site.

This event is free, but registration is recommended. Reserve your spot today!
