I obtained this coin about 40 years ago. It was one of the first inhabitants of my Dansco 7070. So, I don't remember what I paid, much less the grade it is supposed to represent.

I am strong deutan, meaning I can't really tell green from brown (among other color combinations, LOL).
Question: Does this coin have a verdigris issue? If so, is it in need of conserving, or would it best be left in its 7070 home?

Looks like a VF condition coin. Looks good to me. I'm not seeing any issues.

It's the more common 13 star variety but the mintage of the 12 & 13 star varieties were a little over a combined 600,000. Not seeing any verdigris - Plus looks to already have an older cleaning and toned back over - I wouldn't mess with it - just keep it as an album coin.

not sure if its the lighting but the photos are showing a coin that has all of its original surfaces removed. I'm not sure if you can tell the color of this coin due to your condition. the photo is showing a dull blue/gray. this is not what a copper coin would look like in any grade.

i do not see any verdigris on the coin. it probably was chemically cleaned at some point in its life based on the photo. if you could add some more lighting it may change what we are seeing. grading by photo is almost always a crap shoot based on angles, lighting and focus

VF details (cleaned)

Making another attempt to capture the color. These are taken with my digital camera, instead of my microscope. 1828-Half-Cent:--Grading?--And-A-Question
So far as I can tell, this is pretty accurate. I see what you're talking about, which resembles the bloom seen on blueberries. That is actually what made me originally ask about verdigris.

copper is reactive to environmental changes. the bluish color most likely is from how it was stored over the years. I think she grades straight
