Here's my third contest.
The questions will not be coin related but Turkey-related:) Some google search will be needed
I have prepared five questions about Turkey.
The rules are;
- Every registered CoinCommunity member can participate (I would like the administration to feel free to answer as well)
- I'd like the answers e-mailed to me, so we can have a healtheir contest.
- If you feel you need to change the answers, your last e-mail counts.
- The deadline is 23rd April 2006 10:00 Turkish time (GMT+2) Any member to answer all the questions correct before that will win.
- In case noone gets five correct answers by the deadline, the one with most correct answers wins.
- In case of two or more contestants with same number of correct answers, the owner of the first e-mail wins.

In order to have everyone aware of the contest, I will wait a little and post the questions on 19th 23:00 TR time, so you will have more than three days to search for the answers.

The prize is a ten coin lot of the "period of zeroes" in Turkish coinage.
1961 25 Kurus (Steel)
1981 1 Lira (Al)
1991 1.000 Lira (Cu-Ni)
1993 100 Lira (Brass)
1995 1.000 Lira (copper)
1999 10.000 Lira (Cu-Ni)
2004 50.000 Lira (Cu-Ni)
2004 100.000 Lira (Cu-Ni)
2004 250.000 Lira (Cu-Ni)
and a 1990 commemorative 1.000 Lira (love and protect thy environment:)

Any questions?

Here we go, geography quiz starts
You may need to do some searching on the net.
The rules are stated in the fist post.

Here are the questions:

1- What importance does April 23 have for TR?

2- Whose portrait do we have on the reverse of our circulation coins?

3- How many bridges are there on the Bosphorus to connect Asia and Europe?

4- What is the highest point of TR?

5- (This one will be fun) Identify at least four of the places shown HERE (You can find the initials of the English names):

Congrats Danny, the coins will be in the mail soon.

The rest of the pics are:
5.1 : Anitkabir- mausoleum of M.K. Atatürk - Ankara
5.4 : View of Levent- area of business centers of Istanbul
5.7 : Galata Tower - Istanbul (it is rumored that in 17th century, H.Ahmet Celebi was the first person to fly, from this tower to across the Bosphorus)

It seems that I need to come up with a beter idea of a contest.
