Found this while roll searching today. The photos don't do justice to the luster of the coin. Numi News has it at $25 in MS 65 which it may or may not be. Either way I'm keeping it !

YES! Great find! Just like you, I get all excited finding a sweet BU Memorial like that. In circulated rolls, they are very difficult to find....and it's getting worse with all the copper hoarding going on.

I was always wondering why some cents, especially old ones, keep their luster after so many years?

wd1040me too. I've noticied a lot of the 1970 lmcs in rolls are at least AU if not better. Even some blazers like in this post

Just a little off topic here but I have noticed that the pre 1983 Lincolns have stronger strikes. The Lincolns 1983 to now the image of Lincoln isn't as defined and looks more flat.

I grant you its a beautiful coin but it has been circulated.

Just being in a roll or pocket makes it circulated but it still has all the mint luster and no prints it can still be graded as BU. heck it may even get a higher grade. that's a nice coin for a roll find too. send it to SGS and get yurself a real ms70 lol that was a joke Gary

Yeah, especially the ones from the 60s. Sometimes I give them an extra look and think whether those are proofs or not. I guess it's because after the zinc changeover, the mint thought they can cut down costs by not striking the coin with that much pressure.
