I may have mentioned this a few weeks ago, but now I have pics.

This is a 1797 1/1 Half Cent.

Very-Rare-Unique?-1797-Half-Cent

Pretty common, right?

Well as you can see in Breen's or The RedBook, these were printed on Talbot, Allum, & Lee cents (Pg 72 in 2006 RedBook)
They were I believe rolled out, and stamped with this 1797.

Check this out...

You can still see the ORK (Reverse of the Talbot, Allum, & Lee Cents)

And nearly 18- degrees from that is this:

Very-Rare-Unique?-1797-Half-Cent

Larry Briggs (Local Rare Coin Dealer, Owner (I Think) of SEGS) has acknowledged this is what I say it is, but did not really say much else about it.
This coin is not mine... it belongs to a friend.

What do you all have to say about it?

Thanks!
Jordan

I guess I should have stated, ORK is left over from NEW YORK, and the ON from ONE CENT that is almost directly across from NEW YORK.
The ON appears larger than ORK (which is how the Talbot, Allum, & Lee Cents were).

Pretty interesting. I don't know if this would fall under the realm of something CONECA would deal with. You may want to contact them. I would get it authenticated and slabbed (but not by SEGS).

I would definitely get it slabbed, but I'd get the attribution straightened out first. I think it will be important to have that info on the slab.

Check your email.
