It is little more than an educated guess given the images.

I would be hesitant to say anything in numerical designation before seeing better scans.

Is there a way to get a sharper image?

I agree can't really tell anything from the scans.

Thanks echizento & RFB! actually the coin has little dirt spots build-up stuck on it. Toothbrush and laundry soap will bring out the details but then I will probably get carried away and make it shiny!
Is there a solvent type or something that I can clean it with by just immersing it in for a couple of hours? Thanks

WHOA there! down boy with the soap and brush.

I cannot advise in good faith for ANYONE at ANYTIME to take a scrub brush to any coin!

The only time this should be done IF EVER, is when using the coin for jewelry or other assignment that completely destroys the numismatic value. Polishing a nickle to use as cuff link, or to polish a 21 Morgan for belt buckle etc. (even then it still hurts my soul)

Polishing, or scrubbing a coin will kill 75% or more of the value. Not to mention and more importantly the actual eye appeal of the coin.

We are just asking for a cleaner image.

For instance to judge your particular coin, the side of her face, the eagles wings, and the folds in the robes are strong determining factors.

The fields and distracting marks are easy to see, but each coin has its own wear patten that commonly shows up.

We are NOT asking you to clean the coin as in physically WASHING it, we are saying clean the actual image for better view of the described particulars of your coin in question.
