recently purchased a slabbed NGC 68 graded 1 oz. Silver Maple Leaf on ebay but when I received it, there were white spots on the coin in the case. I contacted the seller and he is willing to offer me a refund or a brand new 2009 1 oz Silver Maple in exchange. What should I do? Is the slabbed coin still worth more because of the high grade? I got the coin for $22.50 US. I just want to make sure I'm taking the best deal. Mahalo for you time!

jeez... They still have the milk spot problem?

Well, if it's slabbed there should be no problem trying to sell it at the MS68 price (well... which is about what you pay for a regular 09 Maple since it's bullion) but it will be hard since the blemish detracts most buyers.

I think if you really want one, don't buy a graded one. There's no limit on mintage, and because silver is so soft, grades are really high. In fact, 68 is on the low side, because the norm is 69.

If you're still looking for one,

has a few, although 2010.

Cheers!
Rest in Peace

If you're going to be charged return shipping, I wouldn't even bother sending it back. Just sell it, crack it, or buy another one.
