I have been slowly going through my stockpile of dimes to sell some for my trip. I noticed these 2 tonight and thought I would share images.

Oh, If anyone has had trouble finding Canadian dimes..... I'm sorry. I am a hoarder but can't help myself. Some people have problems with drugs, others (like me) are addicted to dimes.

first one is a 1956 dime. Has some small blobs just in front of the queens face and also on the tips of the denticles almost all the way around.

second one is 1957 dimes with an interesting die problem. almost looks like an upside down maple leaf doesn't it?

Hello Melissa, would you be interested in selling this coin? Just name your price and a cheque will be in the mail!

thanks guys. I know they aren't anything special but I like finding little differences that make my coins just a bit different than most others.

I don't know for sure as they are not listed as known varieties or errors (at least that I know of anyway) So I have to go on the assumption that I have the only ones.

I think my mother may harm me as it is her birth year...

The second dime looks like it is struck with a broken striking die. So it would be an error coin and not a variety

True ,but still if there a few with the same error it gets to be like the 47. , pretty nice have to complete a set or to just have in a nice grade.I would see about some research.

malissadawn, on your 1947 Newfoundland dime from a different post the
N in LAND appears from the picture to be broken. Is this a die break?
I took a smaller section of your picture to post here to show you just in case you were not aware of the condition of the N as it appears.
