from the Charlton Press

Canadian Coins, Volume Two: Collector Issues, First Edition, 2010.

This new catalogue will be released in January 2010, and will list all coins and related gift products issued by the Royal Canadian Mint for the years 1953 through 2009.

Uncirculated, specimen and proof sets are included along with silver dollars, silver commemoratives, gold commemoratives, and of course, the gold and silver maple leafs. Also included will be the platinum and palladium sets from 1989 to date.

The 300-page first edition will continue the same 7" x 9" format as other numismatic catalogues in The Charlton Press library of books. The only overlap with Volume One will be the silver uncirculated proof-like sets issued between 1954 and 1967.

I currently have the 2002 edition. I have it mostly for information purposes, and rely on other sources for more current pricing. This edition shows the details for grading the half dollar coins.

I am sure that the obverse rules apply to all coins, but the details for the reverse must be different. Does anyone know which version contains details for grading Canadian nickels? Or possibly a real good link to the same information, but I'd really prefer a hard copy. Thanks in advance.

I use coinoisseur quit a bit myself for grading. It's really helpful for George V. I think they are tough to grade.

Thank you Malibu for the link.
Am I wrong, or is their typical mint state (MS60) George V over graded. The site page seems to lack details regarding individual coins, such as the pearls on this supposed MS60 coin.

eg. only 6 pearls showing, vertical jewels worn, and a couple other points.
