Here is a suggestion. I would like to see some sub-forums for the Canadian Coin section like the Modern US Coin section has along with an error section for Canadian coins. I am more into modern Canadian coins, however the subject content of the Canadian coins forum seems to be older coinage and I have to sift through posts to see what I am interested it.

Not a bad idea, IMO. It seems to be a fairly busy page these days.

I see that the number of topics, and posts for Canadian coins and Australian coins are very similar. The Australian forum has a number of sub-forums,the Canadian forum should,at least, have its own variety and error, and grading sub forums.

Let me discuss this with the Staff. I will say this though, in August there is only an average of 3 active Canadian topics per day.

All of the Australian forums together average less than two active topics per day,so it's a more than fair comparison.I hope that a sub-forum on errors and varieties would generate more discussion,on the francophone Canadian coin discussion site the error and variety section is very active and has no counterpart yet in any english language forum.

G'day,
quote: "All of the Australian forums together average less than two active topics per day, ..."
- the Australian fora has been unusually quiet for a month or so. I suspect that this is seasonal: it's mid-winter here; the football is on; and after that we can watch the cricket from England.

quote: "on the francophone Canadian coin discussion site the error and variety section is very active and has no counterpart yet in any english language forum."
- is that saying that Francophones make more errors ? hmmmmph ...

I really think the Canadian Coins section would benefit from having the same sub forums as the US Coin forum. Error/Variety, Classic, Modern, etc...

We're still discussing it.

What I've learned from this topic is that we expanded the Aussie section way to soon. The amount of posts does not justify the amount of forums.

I think there will be some Canadian expansion, but I think there will also be some Aussie consolidation.

I moved a lot of topics directly in the DB, however I only went by topic titles by searching for obvious words. If anyone notices any more that need to be moved just hit the notes to staff link and let us know.
