Awesome. Believe it or not I was contempleting a 1854 Quarter Eagle this past week from ebay. I ended up picking up the 1901 instead (I decided to go for the lower mintage). I like the larger letters on the early liberty Quarter eagles

Wow, you are ripping through your gold type set aren't you? The addiction has fully set in! :-D Very nice coin, looks in the AU range. It looks like it was possibly dipped or lightly polished at some point, but it could be the lighting. How is the cartwheel luster? It should be fairly strong given the remaining detail.
