I just got this one yesterday, and it seems pretty nice. So how would you grade it? Thanks!

beautiful coin: I am impressed by the details in Britannia's attire, the light-house, and the ship.
However, there quite a bit of wear on her cheek, arms, leg, foot, and the rocks below the light-house.
The obverse is better: a little wear on Victoria's cheek, but plenty of detail in her hair, and the pattern of her dress. Are they rim dings at 2.30 & 9.00 o'clock ?

I like the consistency of the tone.

I'm thinking VF.

Peter THOMAS- Actually this coin only has an extremely negligible ding at the 9.00 o'clock position. But it does seem to appear in the scan that much more metal was displaced than actually was (which is nearly nothing). If anything that is just a small blotch at the 9.00 o'clock position. These did have a major tendency to be a bit flatly struck on the Britannia side, so they can be a bit tricky to grade (hence me asking for some opinions haha). I personally just can't decide between VF30 and EF.

G'day, if a dealer was selling it, I wouldn't be surprized to see it described as:
"Obv.EF; Rev.VF; overall VF+"
And I meant to say before: great photography.

Beautiful detail and toning on this coins. I see very little wear, I would have no problem grading this at EF-45.

I'd give it a borderline VF-35/XF-40 grade. The Queen's side is better. I've argued that a "VF-38" grade is quite necessary in the past.
