Here's a 1979 penny I found in a unopened bank roll it has no denticles or very few

thats crazy was in a BU roll of 79's? or just a bank roll?

Yes a BU roll of 1979 there was other coins with doubled 79, 979 nice roll for varieties

That would be my thought, as well; Struck thru Grease. Sloppy quality control!, and even worse craftmanship. As a mechanic, I think it is important to clean up my area, and 'get rid of the burrs".
