Or somewhere near it...

It's a regular 1955 US nickel I found at work when I was handing someone their change. No idea what made me look at the date, but the nickel is in pristeen conditon, right off the press. Interesting if nothing else.

Its possible that the nickel is BU,, the pics are just a bit dark to see the details or the fields clearly, but from what I can see its a nice find !!

The reverse looks like a cameo proof. Just a stab in the DARK.

WOW, great find in change. I do see a finger print on the obverse but that can be expected when finding coins in circulation. Maybe a child broke open a set to get some candy, LOL. Nice find.

From the pics it is hard to say if it a true UNC. However it looks very much like UNC and a nice find indeed.

Nice find spookyjr. Great looking coin.

Can't tell if UNC and pictures not the best. Certainly looks a very high grade though.

I hate to be a spoilsport but since you got it in change it isn't Uncirculated. Maybe Mint State, but not Uncirculated.

Nobody noticed it is actually a 1958, not 1955...

SuperDave, I actually meant Mint, not really uncirculated. Good point, Lol.

Morgan, I actually noticed it was '58 instead of '55 after I looked at the pics. This coin has been locked away for about a year now, so the date slipped my mind.
