The lines in the left wheat look flattened a bit but that's probably from striking. What is the line through Abe's ear? Looks like it could be struck through something and I don't know about the color. Maybe re-colored red?

Looks MS64RD to me but these old Lincolns that are that red make me think it may be re-colored. The obverse is well struck with good hair detail.

A nice 100 year old piece.

Rest in Peace

Luster looks a bit flat, but otherwise a very nice 09vdb. Probably slightly higher grade than mine, I say MS-64. It's funny that you and I were thinking about posting 09vdbs at the same time! :-) I have another thread dedicated to this coin.

I agree the coloring looks too good to be true .

But the coin itself looks REALLY nice! I see no evidence of cleaning (or it was done professionally).

Either way, I like it.

The line over Lincoln's ear extends almost to his eye. It appears to be part of the die (almost like a crack or imperfection...)

Anyone ever heard of this?
